A wedding registry is a list of gifts created by the engaged couple that is made available to wedding guests prior to the event. Registries are useful and practical to guests who want to order gifts for the soon-to-be married couple. They are used to help push guests in the right direction towards items you and your spouse will use, while avoiding items you don't necessarily need. Items on a wedding registry should reflect interests and hobbies of the couple getting married.

Don't be afraid to include a few big-ticket items, as some family members, or close friends, may join together in getting you a bigger ticket item.
