Hiking

One thing I grew up doing and continue to enjoy today, is hiking! I'm always ready to pack up and go. Turkey Run State Park tops my list of favorite places to hike in Indiana. Super thankful for friends like The Smiths, who were also up for the spontaneous adventure. The day was hot, but the memories are endless.

Turkey Run State Park

Did you know, Turkey Run State Park is Indiana's 2nd state park ever purchased? It was purchased in 1916, just after Holliday Park. Both parks were purchased at the Centennial Celebration. The canyons here are gorgeous. Every time we turned the corner, there was something new to capture.

There is a suspension bridge to each of these locations! You'll get a good laugh at me speed shuffling across because I'm terrified of heights, but how could I not just-do-it for these views? I cannot wait to see how the fall colors blossom here this October.
